We all love shoes–well I know I love all types of shoes! Whether we call them sneakers, canvas or tennis shoes, there is a certain “art of the shoe”. When you are searching for your next pair of shoes look for something more meaningful and something that allows you to be comfortable in who you are. To celebrate “the art of the shoe”, I created an illustration fusing typography and abstract art in one piece of shoe art.
Summer time always brings out a chance to try new dishes. Below is a recipe of my version of an Israeli pasta salad. Enjoy something different, healthy, colorful, and of course delicious!
Israeli Pasta Salad
- 1 lb Acini Di Pepe Pasta
- 6 oz Dried Apricots
- 6 oz Mission Figs
- 1/2 C Red Grapes
- 3 T Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 t Kosher Salt
- 1 t Parsley
- 1 T Black Ground Pepper (Season to taste)
Boil water and cook pasta as stated on box. Drain and cool off pasta with cold water. Dice the apricots, figs, and grapes. Mix everything together in a large bowl. Refrigerate for 20 minutes as it is best served when cold.
I find art in natural beauty. This weekend I was able to experiment with my new camera lens. I came across some beautiful gardens and was able to capture natural beauty in some photographs. I would never consider myself a photographer but I do enjoy capturing beautiful moments that appear in my life. I just wanted to share a few photographs of flowers that I would love to have in my garden some day.
